7 Year Marriage Contracts

About This Project

As part of The Pitch on ABC's Gruen, Youngbloods WA went head-to-head with Youngbloods Queensland to tackle one of advertising's most unconventional briefs: convincing audiences to embrace seven-year marriage contracts.  Sandbox Producer, Jack Gilmour, took on the challenge to make this Gruen spot blow every other previous Gruen ad out of the water. Jack brought on Steph Senior who brought helped develop the idea with the creatives, Sarah Cassell & Joe Wilkie, and eventually brought it to life! Steph went above and beyond on this project, bringing a vision that no other director could achieve. Her infectious energy, creativity, decisiveness and collaboration made this project an absolute breeze to work on. The pre-production for this project was only a week and a half with a budget of only $6250. In the end, the team was able to pull together 20x experienced crew members, 4x professional talent, 11x background extras and a hell of a lot of passion. In total, just under 60 people were involved in the making of this ad. We are so extremely appreciative to everyone involved as the production quality speaks to the passion behind this ad!
