Renée Webster

Renée Webster is an award-winning writer and director working across film, television, and commercial content. Her debut feature, How to Please a Woman (starring Sally Phillips and Erik Thomson), was released nationally in 2022 to strong critical and audience response. In television, Renée has directed across a range of acclaimed series, most recently serving as Series Director on Season 2 of Aftertaste. She was Set-Up Director on the children’s series Itch, and a Series Director across both seasons of The Heights, earning an ADG nomination for her first episode of adult television. Her short-form work, including Edgar and Elizabeth (AWGIE-nominated) and Scoff, has screened at festivals worldwide. With a strong foundation in TVC production, Renée brings a refined visual sensibility and a performance-led approach to storytelling. She has a particular talent for capturing authentic, human moments—finding nuance, warmth, and humour in everyday details. Her work balances craft with relatability, delivering emotionally resonant stories that connect with audiences across both commercial and narrative spaces.
